One is linear and had the artists place objects on the lawn canvas in a specific order, and the second is non-linear, allowing the artists to choose when and where to place their objects within a span of 5 minutes. The drawings capture an arrangement of object but the magic is in the movement of bodies and shadows in space.Project, completed at at DesignInquiry in Vinalhaven, Maine, summer of 2024. This series of maps show locations, paths, objects and encounters in my daily life.

If the titles from posts on a neighborhood bulletin board were combined into a collaborative poem...it might look something like this. These collages were passed back and forth between myself and Mark Sanders for several days. One of us chose a line and then responded with type and images. The other person could add to, delete or alter the previous work.

As a way to tell a story about Vinalhaven, Maine, a place I have visited many times, I searched for a long list of things -- both concrete and conceptual. I combined my findings (photos) with actual places noted on geographical maps of the island imagining the narrative of a wanderer.
